MediaTamer respects your right to control how your personal information is used. This page explains the choices available to you and how to exercise them.
1. Managing Cookie Consent
When you first visit our website, our cookie consent banner (powered by Complianz) lets you accept or decline each cookie category (Functional, Preferences, Statistics, Marketing). You can update your preferences at any time by clicking “Manage options” in the banner at the bottom of the page.
2. Email Retargeting Opt-Out
We may use email-based retargeting to send marketing communications to users based on their email address and website visit data. To opt out of this specific practice, visit: https://app.retention.com/optout. This opt-out is in addition to, and separate from, the cookie consent controls above.
3. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
MediaTamer does not sell your personal information for money. We may share data with advertising platforms (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Yelp) for retargeting and marketing measurement purposes. California residents may opt out of this sharing by:
- Choosing “Deny” or adjusting the Marketing category in our cookie consent banner
- Enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in a supported browser or extension — we honor GPC as a valid opt-out request where required by law
- Submitting a written request using the contact details below
4. Marketing Email Opt-Out
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or by contacting us at hello@mediatamer.com.
5. Other Privacy Requests (CPRA)
California residents may also request to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete your personal information (subject to legal and business obligations)
Submit a request by emailing hello@mediatamer.com or calling (562) 667-3565. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. For more detail on your California rights, see our CA Privacy Act Policy.
